Transportation Broker Managers are needed for the Caddo Mills, TX terminal office.
DUTIES:
-Direct reporting to the Vice President with sales reports and goals
Perform daily check calls
Read and respond to customer emails -prompt and accurate response times for all customer and carrier inquiries
-Generate prospective leads through multiple databases and sources
-Build and manage customer relationships
-Provide pricing and lane capacity for future business opportunities
-Timely respond to all load opportunities with pricing and availability
-Develop and maintain partnerships with outside carrier and customer base to support the demand for transportation services
-Oversee "voided load opportunities" to direct geographic improvements in carrier development
Carrier compliance, insurance, and other verification processes on new and existing carrier relationships
Data entry (accessorial charges, invoicing, etc)
Skills/Requirements:
-Minimum of two (2) years transportation industry experience
-Minimum of two (2) years freight broker experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Highly motivated and the ability to meet aggressive sales targets
-Strong verbal and computer skills are a must
Negotiating skills
Networking skills
McLeod Software knowledge a plus
Experience with load boards such as DAT and Internet Truck Stop
