Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for our small fleet of trucks and trailers.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
3. Train drivers on safety protocols, including the proper use of ELDs and adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
4. Investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
5. Stay updated with DOT regulations and industry trends to continuously improve safety standards.
6. Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and drive a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and experience in long-haul trucking operations.
2. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
3. Excellent communication and training skills.
4. Proven ability to analyze data and implement effective safety strategies.
5. CDL preferred but not required.
6. Prior experience in a safety-related role is a plus.
