SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN OVER HAULING DIESEL MOTORS, DD 15 ENGINES.

HEAVY DUTY DIESEL MECHANIC

Job duties include:

Conduct regular inspections of truck systems to identify any potential issues before they become major problems.

· Adjust, repair, and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

· Adjust fuel injection timing for optimal engine efficiency.

· Perform complete engine overhauls, fuel system repairs, and other complex diesel engine maintenance tasks.

· Lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

· Operate hoists and other lifting devices to access hard-to-reach areas during repairs.

· Inspect and test all equipment prior to completing repairs.

· Inspect brake systems for defects, including improper operation or wear on linings, drums, and rotors.

· Adjust, maintain, repair, and replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.

· Weld broken parts and structures using electric arc welding equipment.

· Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

· Perform general and detailed repairs of trucks, engines, and components.

· Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components of various trucks.

· Diagnose and repair a wide range of diesel engines, from light vehicles to heavy-duty equipment.

· Repair and replace worn or damaged parts such as steering mechanisms, radiators, fuel tanks, and air conditioning units.

· Rebuild hydraulic pumps and cylinders for a variety of applications related to heavy-duty trucks.

· Examine parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.

· Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.

· Clean and lubricate moving parts on engines and other components as part of routine maintenance procedure

· Conduct road tests and operational checks of vehicles and equipment to confirm quality of repairs and service

· Manage and coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely completion.
