Delivery Driver and Driver Assistant
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $720.00 - $900.00 per week

DRIVER and Assistant - Must pass background check, pre-employment drug testing, and random drug and alcohol testing
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver and Driver Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for providing White Glove In-Home residential furniture delivery and installation/assembly around the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex using our 26ft box truck with Liftgate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Experience with furniture set-up and installation/assembly
Load and secure merchandise onto the truck at the warehouse
Deliver products with proper handling ensuring no damage during install/assemble of furniture at the customers’ location
Use the correct equipment and padding to ensure your safety and also follow delivery order notes and customer instructions
Perform checks of merchandise at the customer's location and report any issues, if present
Report any issues, concerns or changes that may occur during delivery to dispatch promptly and ensure it is properly noted on the delivery paperwork
Keep accurate documentation of deliveries by completing all paperwork properly with customer signatures and ensure any necessary photos are submitted to dispatch before leaving each stop
After each stop, ensure that the furniture is tied securely in the back of the truck
Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent service and representing the company positively
Following all required safety policies and procedures
Must be able to properly operate a liftgate, dolly, pallet jack, and any other necessary equipment and tools to safely deliver and assemble furniture
Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle and reporting any safety or mechanical issues found before operating the vehicle
To prevent any physical injury or property damage you must be able to stoop, kneel, carry, lift, move and load furniture of various sizes safely, that weights up to 350 lbs with a partner or using a dolly/proper equipment
Required to work in various environments/weather conditions
Maintain the cleanliness and safekeeping of the truck and the equipment
SCHEDULE
Shift start: 6:00 AM
Shift length: Until all deliveries are made (usually between 2 pm and 4 pm)
Shift Frequency: 6 days a week, Monday – Saturday
SKILLS
At least 1 year experience of furniture delivery and assembly
1 year experience as a Driver and/or Driver Assistant
1 year of experience driving a 26ft box truck or similar-sized commercial vehicle
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
21 years or older and A valid driver’s license
Must have strong time management skills and be a problem solver
Must be able to safely lift and /or move furniture using the appropriate equipment
Familiarity with GPS devices
Ability to assist in adjusting cargo and proper loading, securing, and unloading of merchandise
Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and traffic laws
Ability to handle any on-road emergencies or breakdowns with composure and follow established procedures for reporting and resolution
