The Overhead Foreman is responsible for leading the crew to complete daily tasks and meet customer needs, ensuring crew safety, keeping track of employee hours, and completing daily & weekly safety briefings/inspections, and calls in project utility locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain all of the necessary licenses, permits, and materials for the job.
Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. Inspect work to ensure job quality and communicate with customers.
Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members about digging and placing products.
Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call-in utilities at each project site.
Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely.
Complete all paperwork on time.
Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles.
Perform aerial tasks, such as pole transfers, strand building, and lashing.
Perform construction work, such as digging holes, air pipe, and inner ductwork in various types of conduit systems and open excavations.
Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.
Tracks employee hours, turning them in on time.
Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assist crews in the completion of work.
Keep the job(s) moving on time, clean up, and perform job restoration at the end of the job.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Must have a valid driver's license; CDL preferred
Must have prior experience as a supervisor or similar role in Telecom, Utilities (Wireline)
