Job Title: Metal Finisher
Job Summary:
The Metal Finisher is a skilled professional responsible for achieving high-quality finishes on various metal surfaces. As the counterpart to the Fabricator, the Metal Finisher ensures that all finished products meet or exceed industry standards. This position requires at least two years of experience in metal finishing techniques such as polishing, painting, and applying specialty finishes. The Metal Finisher reports directly to the Floor Manager and follows guidance and instructions for finishing projects.
The Metal Finisher is responsible for protecting finished products during transport but is not required to build crates or load trucks. To maintain expertise, the Metal Finisher is expected to stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies through continuous training and research. Occasionally, the Metal Finisher may travel to job sites to complete finishing work on products being installed or already in place.

Job Skill Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Proficiency in working with stainless steel to achieve #8, #4, and acid-blackened finishes.
- Skilled in grinding, polishing, painting, and applying Bondo products.
- Expertise in finishing bronze with brushed (satin), polished, and antique finishes.
- Ability to finish aluminum with brushed (satin), polished, and other specified finishes.
- Proficient in achieving antique finishes on various metals.
- Forklift operating certification is a plus.
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- OSHA 10 certification (minimum) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
- Motivated by a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn company processes and adopt new technology.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 80% of the time.
- Willingness to travel to job sites up to 25% of the time to complete on-site finishing.
- Ability to detect potential hazards, such as equipment malfunctions or fires.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds of equipment or materials.
- Must be able to climb ladders as required.
- Primarily a shop environment with potential exposure to temperature variations, dust, and noise.
- Use of protective equipment that complies with OSHA regulations is mandatory.
