Working Saturday interview is a must before hire - Will involve paint and body work along with mechanical/electrical work - automotive obviously $300 cash
I understand that we all have families and life happens but if you are a life happens every other week kind of person then this job is not for you. I have cameras up so I do not need to watch what is going on. I have other companies that I run so I do not have time for nonsense. I am not saying that you need to work every second but if you need to play on your phone half the day then this job is not for you. Don't bring your side jobs to work. If I need to start looking at the cameras then I am pretty sure that work is not getting done and time for packing up your things will be coming soon. I am very easy going but I work hard and I do not expect anyone to work as hard as I do but I do expect work to happen. I do not expect you to work long hours but 40 hours a week will probably not get the job done. If you are an hour and a half lunch kind of guy then do not apply. You will be alone and no one will be bothering you. I work most Saturdays so if brakes need to be bled or something that requires two people then it may require you to put in a couple of Saturdays but never full work days on Saturdays. We have neighbors so a quick hand can be arranged for something quick. Pets are welcome as long as they do not interfere with your work. I do not have any issues if you want to bring your dog/pet to work but they cannot be a constant distraction. I do not expect you to know everything about cars but I will prefer a paint and body expert over engine expert.
Qualifications:
General automotive knowledge - LS engines a Plus
All things electrical
Must be able to install vintage air systems or a quick learner
Install wiring harnesses on old school engines and LS engines
ECU knowledge is a Plus
Most new ECU's come with a wiring harness and default programs for your cars so we can work through it
Paint and body/rust and cancer removal Painting stripes and painting/buffing cars is what we are about so very important or don't bother applying for this job
Must be capable of installing a lifter kit and cam, tuning cars, installing distributors/carbs and adjusting them
We troubleshoot and fix thing so you must be a competent problem solver
Must be able to weld
My expectation is that most of my cars are 8 weeks of work top and bottom - that will be installing vintage AC - Fixing all mechanical issues - paint and body work - Vintage cars are painted from top to bottom - 8 weeks is enough time to resolve everything unless we run into something strange - again - I am easy going but we must turn cars - Some cars are only a couple of days of work but I am out those kind of cars and I will be on the hunt for more
Shop has AC for the summer but diesel heater during winter
Salary is 70 to 80k per year plus bonus if we are making money My goal is to pay you a bonus but we have to turn cars to make that happen
Love vintage cars and all things about vintage cars is a must! So cool.
