About Us
We are a luxury design and development company that builds custom homes from the ground up. Every project is unique, blending architecture, design, and craftsmanship into one-of-a-kind living spaces. Our team thrives on creativity, collaboration, and precision — and we want our content to reflect the same.
This isn’t a standard corporate marketing gig. It’s a role for someone who lives and breathes video creation, thrives in dynamic environments, and knows how to spot the moments that matter. From the sound of saws cutting lumber, to a designer choosing marble slabs, to the final reveal of a finished home — your job is to bring the story to life.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Videographer / Content Creator who will be fully embedded in the day-to-day of our company. This position goes far beyond just filming — you’ll be capturing real moments, crafting stories, and producing content that engages audiences and strengthens our brand.
This role is:
- Hands-on & active: You’ll spend most of your time in the field, on job sites, or on the go, rather than sitting in an office all day. That said, we do have an office you can work from whenever you prefer — whether it’s to edit, reset, or have quieter focused time.
- Story-driven: It’s not just about showing what we’re building — it’s about telling the story of how we build, why it matters, and who’s behind it. We want your creative input and fresh ideas to help shape those stories.
- Fast-moving: Homes evolve quickly. What you film in the morning may need to be edited and posted that same afternoon to keep our audience engaged in real time.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
- Capture Daily Content: Film construction progress across multiple homes — from framing to finishes. Mix cinematic wide shots with close-up details and candid moments. The camera should be on more than it’s off — we’d rather have too much footage than miss a great moment.
- Create Mini Reels & Stories: Edit into short-form content (Instagram/TikTok reels, stories, and shorts). These quick, high-energy updates keep followers connected to the process.
- Collaborate & Brainstorm: Work with the team to develop new content ideas, test trends, and find fresh ways to showcase our work.
- On-the-Go Workflow: Some days we’ll work together in our mobile office — a decked-out Sprinter with Wi-Fi, AC, workstations, kitchen, and restroom. Other days, you’ll head out in the company car with a priority list of installations, walkthroughs, or meetings to film.
- Be the Fly on the Wall: Capture authentic, unscripted moments — a designer making a decision, a subcontractor solving a problem, or a client’s reaction. Blend into the background so people forget the camera is there — that’s when the magic happens.
- Lifestyle Content: Beyond job sites, film supplier visits, design meetings, and company outings that highlight the creative lifestyle behind our builds.
What We Expect From You
- Reliability & Preparedness: Arrive on time, with gear ready — batteries charged, SD cards cleared, backups on hand. Construction doesn’t pause for retakes.
- Creative Eye: Know when to step back for a wide shot, zoom in on a detail, or capture the in-between moments that tell the story.
- Adaptability: Job sites change daily — lighting, weather, and environments won’t always be ideal. You should still deliver quality.
- Quick Turnaround: Footage often needs to be edited and posted the same day — or within 24 hours at most.
- Independence: We’ll guide you in the beginning to set the tone, but once you understand the brand style, you’ll work on your own without constant oversight.
- Professionalism: You’ll often film around clients, designers, and subcontractors. Stay respectful and low-profile to capture authentic moments.
- Voice & Input: We don’t just want a camera operator — we want a creative partner who shares ideas for better shots, angles, or storytelling.
What You Can Expect From Us
- Dynamic Workdays: Some days are job site heavy, others are editing-focused, and sometimes you’ll post up at headquarters for quiet work.
- High-End Projects: You’ll document multi-million-dollar homes, custom design decisions, and architectural details.
- Creative Collaboration: Your ideas are valued. Experimentation and trying new formats are encouraged.
- Supportive Environment: You’ll have the tools, resources, and access needed to succeed.
- The Mobile Office: Our Sprinter doubles as a traveling content hub — Wi-Fi, AC, workstations, kitchen, restroom — so you can film, edit, and post on the go.
- Room to Grow: As the company scales, this role can evolve into leading a full creative/media department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere (one required, both a plus). Comfortable with a Sony A6700, DJI gimbal, 360 camera, and iPhone capture — or quick to learn.
- Social Media Savvy: Know what works on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — from pacing and captions to trending sounds.
- Portfolio Required: Share a reel or portfolio that shows your ability to capture and edit engaging content.
Bonus Skills:
- Drone operation (FAA license preferred).
- Motion graphics/animation.
- An interest in real estate, architecture, or design.
A Typical Day
- Morning: Meet at a jobsite to convene for the day. From there, we’ll either caravan together in the mobile office or split up so you can cover individual tasks.
- Throughout the Day: Operate independently, moving between projects based on what’s happening. Be at the right place for key moments — installations, walkthroughs, meetings — with your camera rolling.
- Team Syncs: Occasionally regroup in the mobile office or at a jobsite to review priorities and align on what’s next.
- End of Day: Organize footage and pre-plan reels to be posted within 24 hours. Some will go live the same day, others queued for the
next. Over time, you’ll also build a stockpile of ready-to-post reels for slower days.
This is a highly independent role — one where you’ll need to understand the bigger picture and anticipate which moments matter most.
Why This Role Matters
We don’t just build homes — we build a reputation for vision, creativity, and excellence. The story of how we get there is just as important as the final product, and that’s where you come in.
Your work will:
- Elevate our presence: Consistent, high-quality content positions us as a go-to name in luxury custom homes.
- Build trust: Showing the artistry, transparency, and grit behind our builds earns confidence long before the finished reveal.
- Fuel growth: Each video helps expand our reach, attract new clients, and strengthen our market presence.
- Define a legacy: You’ll be creating a visual record of our journey — inspiring clients, partners, and future team members.
This role is about more than filming. It’s about helping the company grow into everything it’s meant to be — and leaving your creative fingerprint on that story. As we continue to scale, this position has the potential to grow into leading a full creative/media department.
