SVP, Chief Product & Program Officer (Michaels Stores, Inc. – Irving, TX); Multiple positions available. Develop and execute product strategy and roadmaps, including aligning business and technical needs, analyzing customer and product data, turning customer insights into actionable initiatives, determining rollout strategy, and managing risks. Own vision and strategies for product family, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives. Build collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps and gaining buy-in from executive leadership. Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs. Continually refine team’s prioritization and backlog based on business, customer, and technical needs to help manage resources in the development process and improve offering. Monitor the retail industry and technology trends to provide leadership during executive discussions as subject matter expert, introducing data/research-based insights. Travel required up to 5% of working time. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in technical product management. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in stated field and 5 years of experience as stated, will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in technical product management. All stated experience must include: Driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions; Leading a Product Engineering or Product Management team; Writing user stories and drawing process flow diagrams; Creating strategic product roadmaps; and Working with cross-functional teams. Experience may be gained concurrently. Travel required up to 5% of working time. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.
