Data Engineer II (Michaels Stores, Inc. – Irving, TX); Multiple positions available. Build efficient and reliable data pipelines for training examples generation and real-time online training. Design and build data transformations efficiently and reliably for reporting, growth analysis, multi-dimensional analysis, or other needed purposes. Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust and extensible big data systems that support core products and business. Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Work with teams to implement data solutions. Investigate and use new technologies where relevant. Position based in Irving, TX. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electric Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in data systems architecture. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, or similar; Programming in SQL and Python; Project build with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins; and Linux, Docker, or Cloud technologies. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in Irving, TX. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
