CNC Machinist-1st Shift
KB Components Dallas is a plastics injection molding company located in Arlington, Texas. We are recently part of the KB Components global company based out of Sweden. We have added CNC Precision Machined parts to our inventory. We are growing the CNC department and are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with advanced setup experience to join our Texas team!
SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist position will setup and operate a variety of CNC machines, including 3 and 5 axis machining centers, to produce high-quality precision components. This position is on 1st shift and is Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. This is an advanced setup/operator position and your daily duties will include setting up small parts on 3 and 5 axis machining centers.
This CNC Machinist/Setup position must be able to:
Read standard measuring instruments, dial/digital calipers, micrometer, height gage, optical comparator
Change parts in existing setup with +- ,001 accuracy
Perform setups, set fixture offset, modify tool offsets
Read g-code to select tools and assure correct part and offset are being used
Load tools in machine and set length/diameter offsets
Read/edit g-code for setups including determining tools to load
Adjust feed/speed and modify G code to adjust tool load
Adhere to ISO standards
Adhere to 5S principals
Interface with Quality Department to assure first article inspection and in process inspection
And must have 5+ years machining experience with a focus on complete job setup.
