Floral Distribution Warehouse Position (Lewisville)
compensation: 15.00 per hour
employment type: part time to full time
This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing wholesale floral distributor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort and break down incoming flower freight in the walk-in coolers (35-38 degrees)
Process flowers - Open flower boxes, cut flower stems and place flowers in buckets of water and then move those buckets into the
walk-in cooler
Fill customer orders and pack boxes.
Load orders and buckets of flowers and greenery on to trucks.
Perform housekeeping chores - emptying trash, sweeping and cleaning, cleaning buckets
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Work in 35-38 degree walk-in coolers
Stand for extended periods of time packing flowers in boxes
Walk around the warehouse during the course of the shift
Work in the warehouse with no heat and/or no air conditioning
Individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds, multiple times per shift
Work in a wet environment cleaning the walk-in cooler, scrubbing buckets & processing flowers
WORK HOURS:
Variable Starting hours and days.
Extended hours during floral holidays and customer special event.
