Job Overview:

At Linda’s, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and shipment of orders within the warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on shipping, accuracy, and timeliness to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse shipping, packing, and organizing products for distribution, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping and Order Fulfillment:

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all products are in good condition and packaged securely.

Use warehouse management software to track orders, print shipping labels, and update inventory.

Inspect each order to ensure the correct products are selected and the order is complete before shipment.

Organize and prioritize orders based on shipment deadlines to ensure timely delivery.

Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and labels for all outbound shipments.

Coordinate with carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipping methods, ensuring that tracking information is provided to customers.

Handle the loading and unloading of shipping containers and ensure proper storage of items for delivery.

Inventory Management:

Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of shipped and received goods.

Communicate with the Warehouse Lead regarding low stock levels or damaged items to ensure accurate inventory records.

Help organize and maintain stock in the warehouse to ensure easy accessibility for order fulfillment.

Quality Control:

Perform basic quality checks on products and packaging before shipment, ensuring that items meet company standards.

Report any damaged or defective products to the supervisor immediately to prevent shipment delays or customer complaints.

General Warehouse Support:

Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Help with receiving and organizing incoming shipments.

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and warehouse guidelines.

Operate warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) as needed to move products efficiently.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other warehouse associates, supervisors, and departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.

Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure that shipping targets and deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in warehouse shipping, order fulfillment, or logistics is preferred.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software.

Ability to accurately pick, pack, and ship orders in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific shipping instructions.

Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Prior experience in the quilting industry or a similar e-commerce environment is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to >50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
