LaborMax Staffing is currently seeking a skilled spot welder to join our team in DFW, TX. As a spot welder, you will be responsible for using specialized equipment to join metal components together through the process of resistance welding. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and heat treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate spot welding machines and related equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Adjust welders to achieve proper weld penetration and fusion
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a spot welder
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment
- Understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and heat treatment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
