Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of our grounds and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, construction, groundskeeping, and the use of various tools to maintain outdoor spaces. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas while ensuring safety and efficiency. Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
Maintain gardens by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various maintenance tasks.
Irrigate plants and lawns to ensure proper hydration and health of the landscape.
Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of outdoor events or activities as required.
Ensure all maintenance equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
Assist with cleanup of job sites, including loading and unloading materials.
General use of cleanup machinery. Skid Steer, street sweepers, and mini excavator.
Skills
Proven experience in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping.
Proficient in the use of power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks.
Strong knowledge of lawn care practices including fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
Ability to irrigate effectively using various irrigation systems.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
