APS Building Services is expanding and looking for skilled professionals to join our commercial/industrial field service team. We’re currently hiring for four specialized roles—each offering the opportunity to work independently, take ownership of your work, and deliver exceptional service to our valued clients. Whether your expertise lies in HVAC systems, chillers, general service, or electrical systems, we have a role for you.
The technician will be dispatched directly from their home to the work site and will work with minimal supervision. Overtime is available.
HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Pay: $19- $42/hr.
Responsibilites:
- Reports for duty on time, ready to work, at assigned work location, on a daily basis.
- HVAC Tech accurately and timely responds to company processes for receiving and fulfilling service requests.
- Follows company process submitting reports and data for invoicing daily.
- Safely and effectively uses tools and equipment wearing proper PPE.
- Follows direction from management regarding repair of HVAC equipment.
- HVAC Tech accurately diagnoses problems with HVAC equipment and determines best repair, replacement strategy.
- Works effectively alone and with team to complete repairs timely and safely with no errors or defects.
- Communicates clearly with client and management regarding equipment status and strategy for repair or requirement for replacement.
- Communicates status of work orders with dispatch so that APS can meet customers needs.
- HVAC Tech strives to exceed customers needs by identifying current and future issues and asking to make the repairs while onsite.
- Works safely and effectively with all equipment parts; requests assistance when needed for handling heavy equipment effectively and safely.
- Accurately and consistently checks work for errors and defects; accurately corrects errors and deficiencies.
- Maintains technical knowledge for HVAC repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean company vehicle
HVAC CHILLER TECHNICIAN
Pay: $35- $55/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Capable of performing downs on centrifugal chillers preferred.
- Experience servicing Carrier, Trane, York, and Daikin centrifugal chillers preferred.
- Accurately and timely responds to company processes for receiving and fulfilling service requests.
- Follows APS's process of submitting reports and data for invoicing daily.
- Safely and effectively uses tools and equipment wearing proper PPE.
- Accurately troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with Cooling tower and related HVAC equipment to determine the best repair and replacement strategy.
- Works effectively alone and with a team to complete repairs timely and safely with no errors or defects.
- Communicate clearly with customers and management regarding job status and strategy for repair or requirement of cooling tower and related HVAC equipment.
- Accurately and consistently checks work for errors and defects; technician accurately corrects errors and deficiencies.
- Maintains technical knowledge of various cooling towers and related HVAC equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly company provided vehicle.
- Maintains a clean driving record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
COOLING TOWER TECHNICIAN
Pay: $20- $30/hr.
Responsibilites:
- This position may require being accessible for extended hours. Works under minimal supervision.
- Reports for duty on time, ready to work, at an assigned work location, on a daily basis.
- Accurately and timely responds to company processes for receiving and fulfilling service requests.
- Follows APS's process of submitting reports and data for invoicing daily.
- Safely and effectively uses tools and equipment wearing proper PPE
- Follows direction from management regarding maintaining, servicing, repairing or installing cooling tower and related HVAC equipment.
- Accurately troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with Cooling tower and related HVAC equipment to determine the best repair and replacement strategy.
- Works effectively alone and with a team to complete repairs timely and safely with no errors or defects.
- Communicates clearly with customers and management regarding job status and strategy for repair or requirement of cooling tower and related HVAC equipment.
- Works safely and effectively with all equipment parts; requests assistance when needed for handling heavy equipment effectively and safely.
- Accurately and consistently checks work for errors and defects; accurately corrects errors and deficiencies.
- Maintains technical knowledge of various cooling towers and related HVAC equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Maintains a clean driving record.
MASTER ELECTRICIAN
Pay: $90,000- $110,000 yearly
Responsibilites:
ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND REPAIR:
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair for a wide range of commercial and industrial customers.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including panels, switchgear, disconnects, VFDs, and motor controls.
- Bend and install electrical conduit (EMT, Rigid, Flexible) to industry standards, ensuring precision and secure connections.
- Replace and upgrade electrical panels, disconnects, and switchgear to improve system performance and safety.
- Add circuits to existing electrical systems based on customer needs and project specifications.
SYSTEM INSTALLATION AND COMMISIONNING:
- Install and wire Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Perform electrical panel replacements, including main service panels, subpanels, and distribution panels.
- Conduct commissioning of electrical systems to verify proper operation and compliance with customer requirements.
- Complete system testing, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance.
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE:
- Follow all APS safety policies and OSHA regulations, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures for electrical safety during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC) on all jobs.
- Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment for customers and team members.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE:
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Provide customer-facing notes and recommendations for maintenance or upgrades after completing service work.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, maintaining APS’s commitment to customer care.
- Identify opportunities for additional service or repairs and communicate them to the Electrical Manager or sales team.
DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING:
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and any follow-up recommendations in work orders.
- Provide clear, detailed job notes and photos for customer records and internal review.
- Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner and submitted for review.
