Construction Superintendent
Responsibilities
· Ability to manage multiple crews, projects, schedules, progress reports, and material allocation.
· Capable of managing $400K-$1MM of projects
· 5+ years verifiable commercial construction experience required.
· Perform work accurately and thoroughly while maintaining SPSD high quality standard.
· Work in conjunction with project managers, estimators, office staff, senior management, and other staff to coordinate progress of assigned projects.
· Forecast any unforeseen problems and provide solutions accordingly.
· Visit 3-5 projects per day as necessary.
· Schedule and verify all material and equipment deliveries.
· Create and manage a 2 – 4 week look ahead on all projects.
· Ensure foreman weekly notes are executed and submitted in a timely manner.
· Collect all time and material sheets.
· Daily onsite communications with subcontractors
· Ensure projects staying within scope and track any additional approved T&M accordingly.
· Attend regularly scheduled onsite meetings.
· Attend pop-up meetings.
· Manage and submit all time sheets weekly.
· Ensure consistent quality and standard of SPSD.
· Coordinate with General Contractor on scheduling and production of projects.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years verifiable commercial construction management experience required.
· Ability to interpret and execute all types of construction plans/drawings.
· Broad understanding of all aspect of commercial construction with emphasis on landscape/hardscape, excavation, masonry, carpentry, and flatwork.
· Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
· Ability to allocate authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate personnel.
· Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
· Clean driving record
· Industry standard computer knowledge required. (Microsoft programs, email, scheduling software)
· Effective leadership and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen and grow knowledge and skills.
· Effectively communicate, manage, and assist foremen to complete projects.
· Ability to speak clearly and confidently in positive and negative situations. Demonstrate group presentation skills and conduct meetings with clients, general contractors, sub-contractors, and co-workers.
· Ability to accurately create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other associated costs as necessary.
· Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
· Ability to allocate authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate personnel.
· Ability to work 8-10 hours regularly and consistently per day, 5 days per week. Willingness to work extra hours as necessary.
