Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Garland, Texas

Job Description: As the HR Manager at Ref Experts and HVAC, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the organization's growth and success. You will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

2. Oversee weekly payroll processes and handle promotions and raises effectively.

3. Provide support for the performance management processes, including coordinating performance evaluations and

maintaining related documentation.

4. Lead the hiring, firing, and disciplinary processes, including sending offer letters, managing I-9s, and conducting

onboarding procedures.

5. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and provide new hire orientation and coordinate additional

training as needed.

6. Manage employment screenings, including pre-employment background screens, drug screens, and the

7. random drug screening program.

8. Develop employee development programs to support career growth and skill enhancement.

9. Foster a positive workplace culture and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention

accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.

10. Coordinate safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

11. Manage workers' compensation claims and follows Return to work policy.

12. Handle unemployment filings and respond to verification of employment requests promptly.

13. Administer garnishments, including child support and Medicare withholding filings.

14. Manage tool loan programs and create necessary deductions on payroll.

15. Tracking equipment issued to associates.

16. Provide support in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.

17. Support various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management roles.

Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in a startup environment is a plus.

Proven ability to think strategically and adapt to changing priorities.
