Office surgery company catering to the OB/GYN specialty actively seeking a full-time Medical Assistant / Surgical Tech to join our team! Unique opportunity and hands-on position requiring minimal sitting with only some desk duties. We provide all necessary training.

40-hour work weeks & competitive wages offered. Job requires ability to work overtime and a changing daily schedule.

Driver’s license and background check required.

Must live in the Dallas Metroplex area.

OB/GYN experience strongly preferred, but not required. Experience with sterile technique, office surgery, and BLS certification a plus.

Looking for someone who is highly motivated, an excellent team member, works well in a fast-paced environment, and has a willingness to learn. Must be able to communicate effectively with providers, co-workers, and patients while providing outstanding customer service. Work schedule is full-time Monday-Friday (40 hours). Daily schedule times vary based on surgery schedule assignments. Flexibility in daily work schedule required. No weekends, call or night work.

Job Responsibilities:

Travel daily across DFW to assist with office-based surgical procedures

Safely transport, load and unload medical equipment and machines

Driving company vehicles required daily to transport equipment and machines

Provide patient care pre- & post-procedure

Assist with preparing the procedure room for surgeries

Select, set up and maintain medical supplies, equipment and medications

Prepare and pack supplies and equipment for surgical procedures

Clean, disinfect and sterilize medical instruments

Maintain a safe, organized and clean environment

Travel trips required with occasional overnight (on average 3-6 trips/year)

Complete BLS certification

Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Duties:

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to push a patient in a wheelchair

Stand and/or walk for 8-10 hours per day

Work a changing daily schedule Monday through Friday

Work a full-time schedule 40 hours a week

Ability to work overtime when required

Drive company vehicles (which requires an unrestricted driver's license)

Ability to lift overhead to restock items

Ability to push and move equipment towers and medical machines

Professional appearance with no visible tattoos permitted

Ability to travel to various cities within the state of Texas

Smoking not permitted while performing work duties

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Medical Assistant diploma or Surgical Tech diploma

Job requires flexibility in weekly work schedule (Monday-Friday only, 40-hour work weeks, daily schedule times vary based on surgery schedule)

OB/GYN experience strongly preferred, but not required

Experience with patient care, sterile technique, office surgery, and BLS certification a plus

No visible tattoos

Valid driver's license required for driving company vehicles
