Job Summary:

The Laboratory Technician will be an integral member of our clinical team, responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing blood samples. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy, blood testing procedures, and laboratory best practices. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a passion for improving patient health through precise diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood collection using standard phlebotomy techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Process and analyze blood samples, adhering to laboratory protocols and quality standards.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, conducting regular checks to ensure functionality and accuracy.

Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Maintain accurate records of tests conducted, results, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA and laboratory policies.

Stay updated with advancements in laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

Assist in the inventory management of laboratory supplies and the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

Certification in Phlebotomy and/or Medical Laboratory Technology (e.g., ASCP, AMT).

Proven experience in phlebotomy and blood testing, preferably in a clinical laboratory setting.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using laboratory information systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
