DSP Group Home 2-3 clients $14HR Cedar Hill weekly pay 1099

Group home with sweet elderly men. No behaviors. This is a 1099 position with weekly. We have 6a to 6p or 6p to 6a with every other weekend.

Caregivers assist the elderly, or persons with disabilities with daily living activities in a residential care facility. Duties may include keeping house (making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes) and preparing meals. Live-In Caregivers also monitor and report changes in health status and provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming of clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around.

· Provides clients with help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming

· Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.

· Performs health care-related tasks such as monitoring vital signs and medication under the direction of registered nurses and physicians and in accordance with polices and procedures.

· Maintains records of residential care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discusses observations with supervisor.

· Serves meals to patients or other family members according to prescribed diets

· Instructs or advises clients on issues such as cleanliness, hygiene, or nutrition

· Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations

· Fills out and completes residents incident reports as needed

· Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employees information to assure that all rights are protected.

· Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel.

· Participate in all departmental meetings as required.

· Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.

· Requires a strong work ethic, patience, understanding and professionalism.

· Basic understanding of medical terminology.

· Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties.

· Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· One year of related experience

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
