We are searching for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the team of Le Margot, a FAR Out Hospitality restaurant, led by 2 Star Michelin Chef, Graham Elliot.
As part of this dynamic and highly skilled team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of cooks who are dedicated to producing the most delicious, highest quality cuisine.
The right candidate should have a broad range of technical and cooking skills, excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude and an ability to work under pressure. You will be expected to lead by example and take a hands-on role while following the instructions of the Chef.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu development and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently
- Oversee a team of cooks and train junior staff
- Ensure all dishes meet the established standards of presentation and taste
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained in the kitchen
- Assist with ordering supplies and inventory control
Requirements:
- 5+ years of culinary experience with a proven track record as a Sous Chef
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of classic cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Passion for creating delicious meals
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
