Evan's Meat Market is a small family butcher shop dedicated to quality meats, hospitality and well crafted prepared items to make mealtime easier at home.
Duties of this position include:
- Ensure quality control of all product before setting up display cases
- Fulfills call ahead and
- Receive and put away orders
- Provides customer service during rush periods, or if in FOH
- Assists in monitoring the quality of goods proper packaging
- Preps, wraps, and stocks products properly
- Maintains sanitation in the department
- Maintains organization of back storage, freezer, walk-in and production area
- Reads and executes daily production list
- Ability to use established calculation reports for brines and marinades
Requirements:
- Demonstrates and shares expertise about food
- Experience with commercial production preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Good verbal communication skills
- Lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.) Bend, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to work mornings and flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- 1 year experience in food preparation and experience required
- Requires 2-5 years of related experience
