Description Robert Half is partnering with a fantastic company looking to hiring a fixed assets and lease accountant to their team. This opportunity gives you flexibility with your work schedule and has you reporting to a wonderful controller. This fixed asset and lease accounting role would be a good fit if you have 2+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree and have advanced excel skills. Responsible for maintaining fixed asset sub-ledgers for multiple entities and locations, including: · Issue requisitions for capital projects and log· Tracking capital expenses using the capital workbook and budget· Process invoices and payments for all capital projects· Notify accounting of completion of capital projects and provide support· Identify if purchase is to be recorded as capital or operating expense· Record cost of newly acquired fixed assets in Great Plains (GP) fixed asset sub-ledger· Track existing fixed assets and work with properties to keep sub-ledger current· Record monthly depreciation· Reconcile the FA sub-ledger to the GL for assets and accumulated depreciation· Track dispositions (full and partial) and make appropriate journal entries in GL and FA sub-ledger· Communicate with managers and accounting on treatment of purchase using capital dollars· Prepare schedules related to fixed assets for use in budgets, audits, course dispositions, property tax renditions and insurance requirements· Ensure third-party lease obligations are adhered to in regards to annual capital expenditures and reserves· Represent the company in any audits by the government that include fixed assetsIf you or someone you know is interested please reach out to Bianca Leyva @ Robert HalfRequirements

Advanced Excel experience
Great Plains strongly preferred but not required.
