Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a SOX Analyst in the financial services industry, specially commercial banking. located in Dallas, Texas. The role involves assisting with SOX walk-throughs, testing, and documenting control design and operating effectiveness within a Commercial Banking environment. Responsibilities: Assisting with the execution of SOX walk-throughs and testing Documenting control design and determining the effectiveness of their operation Leveraging knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley to deliver on job functions Applying industry-related skills and knowledge in a Commercial Banking environment Ensuring compliance with SOX regulations and guidelines Providing insights and recommendations based on SOX testing results Collaborating with internal teams to address and resolve SOX related issues Monitoring and reporting on the status of SOX testing activities Participating in internal meetings to discuss SOX testing strategies and results Staying updated on changes in SOX regulations and implementing changes as necessary.Requirements Must possess a strong understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and their application within the service industry. Demonstrable experience in SOX compliance, auditing, or similar roles. Proficiency in risk evaluation and control testing methodologies. Ability to work collaboratively with different teams to ensure compliance with SOX regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex SOX requirements. Strong analytical skills to identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies. A proactive approach to staying updated on changes in SOX regulations and industry standards. Advanced proficiency in using compliance software and tools. Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A professional qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field would be advantageous. Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) would be beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
