Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Emergency Department (ED)Fast-paced, high volume emergency department is looking for top skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231Work hours: Full Time Nights; 7:00 pm – 7:00 am; Weekends and holiday requirementsEmergency Department highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Engaged leadership team· Focused collaboration with multidisciplinary team· Unit with great resources to provide the best patient care possibleHere’s What You Need:· LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required· 6 months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program required· BCLS – Basic Cardiac life Support prior to providing independent patient are and maintained quarterly required· Previous LVN experience in an acute care setting helpfulWhat You Will Do:· Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.· Plans the care of the patient· Serves as patient advocate· Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.· In collaboration with RN incorporates evidence based practice and research to monitor and continuously impact outcomes· Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population.
