You will lead a centralized team supporting American Airlines' subsidiaries and managing relationships with Affiliate carriers. This fast-paced role involves working closely with C-suite leaders and key departments across the organization. Leads the development and implementation of regional planning and strategy initiatives that drive business results and support the company’s overall goals of Profitability, Reliability and Accountability Partners with the leaders of each airline in the portfolio to prioritize projects, measure success, and build consensus for various initiatives` Collaborate with senior leaders, external partners, and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with company objectives Make critical decisions on crew supportability levels, maintenance allocation, carrier base locations, and fleet planning, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and maximizing regional scope Provide senior-level guidance and oversight in the budget planning process, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. Oversees capacity purchase agreement negotiations and amendments that impact financial performance Influences and engages with Network Planning on the capability and deployment of regional carriers Maintains exceptional relationships with key players across various groups, including Finance, Network Planning, Pilot/AMT/FA Recruitment, Tech Ops, Customer Experience, Alliances, Ops Planning, Legal, and more Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and adjust flight schedules as neededAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aviation, or a related field 7 years of leadership experience in a strategic planning, operations, or management role Proven track record of driving results and leading cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Master's degree in Business Administration, Aviation, or a related field 10+ years of leadership experience in a strategic planning, operations, or management role Experience in the airline industry, with a deep understanding of regional airlines and their operationsSkills, Licenses & Certifications Demonstrates the highest standards of personal ethics and integrity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data analytics tools and software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with senior leaders and stakeholders Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build relationships across multiple teams Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the airline industry and competitive landscape Certification in a relevant field, such as aviation management or business administration, is a plus Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while adjusting to shifting priorities and deadlines Skilled in negotiation, strategic thinking, processing complex details, and exercising sound judgment in decision-making Proficient in influencing others through exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and negotiation skills Adept at fostering collaboration and building strong relationships across various teams and organizational levels Strong ability to identify creative and innovative solutions to complex challengesWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:
