Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings, including start-up duties such as installing and programming field controllers, wiring and controls, sensors, thermostats, rooftop units, valves, actuators, chillers, boilers, and other HVAC control equipment.
Install, clean, adjust, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities, as well as warranty services.
Travel to different businesses throughout the day to service HVAC systems.
Conduct performance tests using specialized tools, adjust system settings, and identify maintenance risks on equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Discuss various options with clients regarding heating and cooling systems.
Process and complete work orders promptly and accurately.
Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime for clients.
Ensure compliance with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
Maintain compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
Enter detailed notes on all invoices in the Service Project Management Application to maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC vocational training or apprenticeship program preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, with proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems.
EPA Universal and OSHA 30
Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to HVAC controls, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
EPA Universal certification for handling refrigerants.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
