We are on the hunt for a dedicated Business Development Manager - Spirits to champion our portfolio in the vibrant market. This role is a blend of strategy, innovation, and leadership, aimed at maximizing the sale of the Gallo spirits portfolio through retail and on-premise outlets within assigned territories.As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for executing our sales plan, hitting revenue targets, and maximizing contribution through astute management of product sales to retail or on-premise accounts. Your role will be dual-faceted: interfacing with winery teams to develop pricing strategies and ensure focus on high-opportunity areas, and collaborating with distributors to ensure the flawless execution of our annual sales plans. You will serve as the face of Gallo brands, fostering and maintaining relationships that drive sales growth.We value innovation, strategic thinking, and the ability to pivot based on market dynamics. Your insights will guide pricing recommendations, strategic allocations of resources, and development of impactful sales strategies. You will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring your team, holding them accountable for the execution of Gallo programs, and ensuring our brands are represented with excellence.Your entrepreneurial spirit will be a driving force, as you leverage technology, engage in consumer-facing events, and act as a Gallo Ambassador to advocate for our brands. Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility;

OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.

Required to be 21 years of age or older.

Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.

Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include weekends and evenings.

Required to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locally.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

Hiring Salary Range Posted: $97,020.00 - $161,800.00 / year

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
