This role is a part of the Flight Training Strategy team within the Flight Training Operations division.

The primary focus of this role is to analyze data and processes related to Pilot training, Check Pilots and other instructors, and the Flight Training Academy to support a department that is integral to the operational success of the company.

Develop analysis using extensive datasets to provide actionable insights and solutions to complex business challenges

Design and create robust models, and synthesize findings to support decision-making processes that balance operational efficiency and enterprise cost

Partner with stakeholder teams, including Crew Planning, Flight Training & Standards, Flight Planning & Scheduling, and Crew Compensation, to evaluate current processes and standards to identify innovative improvements to the business

Define and develop key metrics to assess and communicate the efficiency and performance of the Flight Training Academy

Synthesize findings from analyses into concise presentations to be shared with leadership and stakeholders

Prepare materials for and lead recurring meetings with stakeholders

On an ad hoc basis, provide analytical support to Flight Training and other related divisions

All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Undergraduate degree in Business, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Aviation, Operations, or another relevant field

2 years of relevant experience, including exposure to advanced modeling and analysis

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Experience in a crew-related field (crew training, crew planning, etc.)

Strong analytical background involving data input, manipulation, and presentation, and ability to structure complex analysis

Knowledge of the airline industry and experience in airline operations

Understanding and familiarity with unions and union contracts

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to decipher union contract/JCBA requirements and its applications within the pilot and training instructor workgroups

Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines

Ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis and reprioritize when necessary

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and written, and to present findings and thoughts, both formally and informally
