We are seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone responsible for design, implementation, and operational support of the technical infrastructure for strategic Broadridge applications and services. We are looking to bring on board someone willing to craft technical solutions and automated operational processes for the next generation Broadridge platforms for automation, availability, performance, scale and cost. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote and meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, implementation and operational support of the technical infrastructure for strategic Broadridge applications and services
Designs technical solutions and automated operational processes for the next generation Broadridge platforms for automation, availability, performance, scale and cost while working closely with multiple teams, including application development teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and clients, if needed, to review the infrastructure designs for new projects.
Ensure the continuous health and reliability of the technical infrastructure, and the applications/services it supports, through Service Level Objectives (SLOs), metrics/Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and continuous operational process improvements.
Work with Vendors to implement new capabilities and competencies to the Broadridge technical infrastructure.
Translates business requirements into technical designs, considering automation, availability, performance, scale and cost.
Ensures technical & security best practices along with Broadridge standards are adhered to in the design of technical infrastructure
Delivers high quality technical infrastructure, on-time, following Broadridge processes.
Owns, communicates and sets expectations of day to day work of the SRE (off-shore and on-shore)
Tracks Service Level Indicators (SLI) to ensure the health of technical infrastructure and Broadridge services and defines Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Broadridge Services
Troubleshoots production issues affecting Broadridge services as needed, taking appropriate corrective actions as well as conducts preventative maintenance to ensure capacity, scaling, security and availability of Broadridge services.
Understands dependencies between infrastructure components, vendor software, custom software and other parts of the processing stack that support Broadridge Services
Implements additional operational improvements for automation, monitoring and incident management to increase the reliability of Broadridge services.
Present and explain Broadridge infrastructure and operational processes to clients and industry groups, as needed. Seeks ways to improve the alignment of Broadridge technology infrastructure to clients needs.
Guides more junior associates through established processes.
Works with senior leaders to architect solutions with technical vision, maintainability and total cost of ownership in mind.
Participates and contributes in strategic planning discussions with technical, business, and client stakeholders.
Establishes Design Patterns used by the technical infrastructure.
Skills/Competencies:
Solid work experience with commercial service infrastructure at both a software and infrastructure level.
Functional skills System Design and Architecture, DevOps / Deployment automation, Troubleshooting, Service Monitoring.
Passionate teammate who understands and respects personal & cultural differences
Ability to work under pressure and be highly adaptable
Strong written and communications skills for collaboration with various teams and upper management
Solid analytical skills, especially in area of translating business requirements into technical design with a continuous focus on aligning technical roadmap with the immediate and long-term Business strategy
Able to adapt and embrace change and support business strategy and vision.
Knowledge of next-generation design patterns/architecture like micro-services, layered pattern, cloud.
Strong aptitude for learning new skills and new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or in a related field.
SWIFT Environment/Ecosystem work experience.
10+ years of experience within a programming and application system environment, with solid experience and a working knowledge in the following technologies:
OS: Windows, Linux - nice to have
Automation: Terraform, Bladelogic, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible
Cloud: AWS, Azure
Scripting: Powershell, Perl, Shell Scripts
Salary range $120,000- $130,000. Bonus Eligible.
