Job Title: Houseparent(s) - Direct Care in Residential Children's Home (Live-in)Location: [Hockley] 30 miles NW of HoustonOverview:Our residential children's home is seeking compassionate and dedicated Houseparent(s) to provide direct care and support to children and youth placed in our facility. The Houseparent(s) will live on-site and be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment for the children in our care.Responsibilities:- Provide daily supervision, guidance, and support to children and youth living in the residential home- Help children with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and household chores- Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive social skills- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team- Organize and facilitate recreational activities, outings, and educational opportunities for the children- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of each child- Communicate effectively with families, caseworkers, and other stakeholders involved in the child's care- Model appropriate behavior and demonstrate empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for the childrenQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred- Previous experience working with children and youth in a residential or similar setting- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and best practices in working with at-risk populations- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed- CPR/First Aid certification preferred- Valid driver's license and clean driving recordBenefits:- Competitive salary- Housing and utilities provided- Health, dental, and vision insurance- Paid time off and holidays- Professional development opportunitiesIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and are looking for a rewarding and challenging opportunity, we encourage you to apply for the position of Houseparent(s) - Direct Care in our residential children's home.
