Job Title: Laser OperatorJob DescriptionThe Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, checking out programming, and operating CO2 gas laser devices. The role includes programming all machine axes, coordinating or operating any support equipment associated with the primary machine, diagnosing and adjusting needed changes using various measuring methods, and confirming part numbers and quantities to be produced.Responsibilities
Program all machine axes
Program, coordinate, or operate any support equipment associated with the primary machine
Diagnose and adjust needed changes using romer, layout, check gage, assembly fixture, or any other required measuring method
Determine what machine is to be utilized, how parts are to be run, confirm part number, quantity to be produced, and ensure engineering change number corresponds with the work order, layout, and print
Follow machine pre-operation checking procedures
Perform all required preventative maintenance
Clean and maintain machines optics
Inspect parts produced per company protocol
Follow daily production schedules
Ensure correct cutting parameters are used
Operate additional support equipment
Move production materials as needed
Travel may be required for training
Essential Skills
Experience in laser operation
Proficiency in reading blueprints
Machine operation skills
Inspection and troubleshooting capabilities
Programming experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to perform preventative maintenance
Knowledge of cleaning and maintaining machine optics
Capability to inspect parts according to company protocol
Familiarity with daily production schedules
Experience in operating additional support equipment
Willingness to travel for training
