It's easy. Our Company has outgrown our current methods and need a real Leader to come in and take Ownership of our Housekeeping Department. We want a long term, career minded person.

Role

Our Head of Housekeeping will be responsible for hiring, training, staff scheduling and managing existing & new housekeeping staff for our growing Vacation Rental Management company on South Padre Island. You will be developing a training program to increase AND maintain our quality of cleanings and be held accountable for squeeky clean rentals.

You will be trained on our super easy to use housekeeping & maintenance mobile app software that allows you to schedule your staff & document issues. We want the cleanest rentals on South Padre Island. You will be responsible for our in house laundry department as well.

You will input staff pay via our super easy payroll system. Ultimately, you will be in constant communication with our Operations Director, Front Desk Manager, Maintenance staff and Founder of our Company. The ability to deal with many people is important. You must be willing to get your hands dirty!

The right person will be able to work with a diverse group of staff and positively communicate with them, as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves and fill in on housekeeping to lead by example. You agree you won’t be above the work you manage. You must love organizing things and people and have an attitude of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Manage existing housekeepers & be able to communicate effectively to a diverse base

Schedule housekeeping using our software that connects to our reservation system. (we will train you) Accept all housekeeping must go through this app as well as maid reports

Maintain quality & accept reviews/feedback from guests & owners

Open to work 6 days a week with mid week day off. Weekends and holidays are our busiest times. We of course grant liberal vacation times in off season Sept 20 to Dec 20.

Hire & train new housekeeping teams. Develop better training system for housekeeping. Company will provide applicants.

Maintain & control inventory of housekeeping cleaning & linen stock as well as develop this system

Scheduling of in house laundry services & needed staff

Report weekly to Operations Director simple profit/loss statements we have for you

Report to Company Founder weekly outstanding issues

Provide continuous refinement to insure best in class quality on housekeeping on the Island

Expand use of our current housekeeping software for tracking cleaning supplies as well as linen stock

Ability to manage up to 100 homes and condos on short term rentals – we currently manage approximately 70 rentals – it can get hectic.

Requirements

Experience in Housekeeping Management you can demonstrate

Ability to lead your division by example

Willingness to be held accountable. We need a leader not a manager.

Bilingual in English and at least proficient in Spanish required

Willingness to learn and use software systems to make your job easier

Legal US Citizen or Permanent Resident status

Valid US Drivers License

Good to Great under pressure – super fast paced

Company vehicle, insurance & all gas paid.

Available to work weekends and holidays. Tuesday or Wednesdays are generally day off

Private office within our offices for our Housekeeping is provided as well as Company laptop Input and use of Gusto software for payroll weekly

Barefoot system reservation systems use for in/out reports, tracking expenses etc

Learn & expand use of our housekeeping software for tracking linens and cleaning supplies

You are required to work on South Padre Island in person

Compensation:

We offer a base pay of $30-$40k per year plus incentive based on review scores with overall compensation in the $40 to $60k per year range. Company vehicle + paid vacation included.
