The Operations Manager is responsible for achieving productivity objectives, operating schedules, and vendor relations and economic goals. Responsibilities also include cultivating a cohesive environment where work-life balance is encouraged through safety adherence, team values and supporting personal commitments to realize organizational success.
Key Highlights of Role:
- Develops and communicates expectations to direct and indirect for direct reports.
- Ensures inventory, scheduling, and the shipping and receiving of materials are completed timely to effectively manage costs.
- Reviews key operating indicators (KOI’s) and utilizes data to maximize process efficiencies.
- Ensures cost and profitability objectives are achieved as determined by goals and objectives.
- Ensures employee discussions, documentation, and performance evaluations are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Complies with ISO quality procedures.
- Ensures adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Exhibit behaviors that reflect the company core values.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail by way of organizational, time management, analytical, observational, and active listening skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to orally communicate in a clear, concise, professional manner with internal and external customers, government officials.
- Familiar with inventory software, manufacturing software, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
Qualifications:
5 years + of prior experience in management.
2-4 year degree in management preferred.
