Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.

This role will support all capital projects, outages and turnover activities involving electrical equipment and power distribution systems throughout the facility.All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, and vision of the organization. 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required) - Electrical Engineering (Preferred)

Four (4) or more years Oil & Gas, or related experience (Required)

Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices and methods of principles, practices and methods used in the operation, maintenance, and construction of an electrical power transmission and distribution system (Required)

Proven working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA (Required)

Strong technical, quantitative analysis and process orientation skills

Working knowledge of root cause analysis concepts

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical drawings, diagrams, and sketches

Proficient with engineering software

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel, customers, vendors and visitors

Ability to work as self-directed individual and in a team environment

Strong attention to detail

Ability to organize and direct the activities of the power distribution work activities and coordinate such activities with operations and maintenance departments

Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an effective manner

Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound engineering principles

Knowledge of process design, instrumentation, process control and statistics

Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks

Capable of performing calculations to support power co-ordination, relaying and arc flash studies.

Plan, design, and write specifications for power distribution equipment, MCC’s, drives, etc.

Create estimates and cost studies for potential projects

Conduct Code reviews to ensure compliance from a number of codes and standards

Design and work with power distribution and utility interconnections

Researches materials and concepts to advise and support technical issues influencing electrical design concept development.

Reviews and coordinates activities involving switching, maintenance and operation of the electrical power system.

Inspects field work to ensure conformance with plans and specifications; to ensure proper and safe working environment.

Directs and reviews power distribution operating procedures.

Identifies and recommends changes in existing power distribution system and suggests changes in plans to meet operational or department requirements and regulations. Interfaces with transmission service provider

Develop, recommend and implement, when required, solid engineering solutions for system tolerance problems

Assist project engineering developing project scopes

Support capital projects by collaborating with other departments and specifying, accepting and overseeing installation of power distribution equipment.

Study performance and reliability of existing equipment and establish programs and solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.

Eliminate/reduce equipment defects.

Troubleshot electrical equipment and power distribution system, determine root cause and take corrective action to resolve system failures
