We are looking for a DevOps/SRE/Production Support engineer who is passionate about automation and process improvement. The Mobile Middleware Team builds and manages various Web API applications that support multiple customer facing Native Mobile and Conversational Apps. We are looking for an engineer to support the various aspects associated with these applications including build and deployment, production support and monitoring, security and infrastructure remediation, and debugging and resolving production issues. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a comparable position, demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, agile environment and capable of working across a large enterprise.

What you are good at

  • Helping with the development and delivery of tools, automation, and continuous improvement of scalable monitoring and alerting tools/methodologies.
  • Gathering and communicating production data to help drive quality decisions across the lifecycle of the product.
  • Identifying opportunities to shift left operationally and deliver value to developers and end users.
  • Coordinating Application installs and developing automated build jobs using continuous integration platforms such as Bamboo supporting Blue/Green and Canary Deployments.
  • Assisting in the remediation of Security and Infrastructure issues, helping with debugging production issues and maintaining a Tech backlog

What you have

  • Proven experience developing creative solutions and from-scratch solutions to reduce toil, improve detection, or offer self-healing solutions for a 24x7 high-availability customer facing application suite.
  • Passion and ability to communicate DevOps principles and the importance of their role in the SDLC to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms.
  • Expertise with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Zenoss, AppDynamics, Keynote) and best practices for API monitoring methodology.
  • Deep familiarity with Web Services technologies (REST, SOAP) and proven experience implementing monitoring that tells the whole picture of application health.
  • Relentless commitment to the stability and availability of production and lower environments.
  • The ability to troubleshoot anything (you've never met a problem you couldn't solve).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience including senior management as well as proven ability to make remediation recommendations for both in-scope applications and other upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo).
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following toolchains: Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bamboo)
  • 2+ years developing services REST services using C#, .NET is a plus.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis and SQL Server is a plus.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and Conversational platforms such as Google Dialogflow is a plus.
