Modern Diesel is seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tire repair, replacement, balancing, and alignment services for a wide range of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace tires on passenger, medium and heavy duty trucks
Patch and plug flats, rotate tires, and perform wheel balancing
Operate tire changers, balancers, and alignment equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively about tire needs and safety
Ensure all work meets safety and industry standards
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in tire repair and replacement including commercial/fleet tire experience
Knowledge of tire types, tread patterns, load ratings, and basic tire codes
Ability to lift heavy tires and wheels and work in a physically demanding environment
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Basic knowledge of alignment and suspension systems a bonus
