Occasional chauffeur

I need a driver irregularly to drive my vehicle, with me, to places far and near in Texas. The assignments are often on relatively short notice, but usually you will have a couple of days' or more notice. The trips often involve overnight stays, sometimes more than one overnight stay. Meals and hotel space is provided during such trips. You would be paid for actual driving time, plus 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. standby time, if not driving, during trips. I will be working in the passenger seat; so you will need to be quite. You may listen to music on ear buds. You will need a good driving record, and habit of driving safely. No speeding or tailgating. You will need to be clean and dress presentably. I can spot you a clothing allowance if that is a problem. You would occasionally interact with my clients. Non smoker is mandatory. You need to be in good enough physical condition to drive late and get up early to drive again and deal with luggage. You may hear conversations with clients; keeping those confidential is essential. It is a good opportunity for someone who wants occasional employment. There are weeks in which you would not be needed and other weeks in which you might drive multiple days. Cancellation on short notice is not uncommon.
