We are seeking a Licensed Fire Alarm Tech to join our team. This position will start as soon as the right candidate is found - ideally in the next 2 weeks - and will be based at a Google Data Center in Pflugerville, TX. The duration of the job is open-ended but will most likely last until the end of the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation of fire alarm wire and trim out devices.
- Reading prints and creating As-Built documents.
- Running fire alarm wire to NFPA standards.
- Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure systems are operational and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Troubleshooting fire alarm system installations to ensure they function properly and meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes, as well as any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL).
- Ability to install and service a variety of fire alarm manufacturers' systems.
- Self-motivated, self-managed.
- Physical capability to lift equipment and perform repetitive motions, using hand and power tools, and work in all types of weather conditions.
- Have all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reside in Austin or surrounding areas.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid drivers license
