I was thinking about success and failure the other day and trying to figure out why I am not as rich as Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk. I think I figured it out.

I think my number one problem (like many people) is poor use of my time and second, waiting for people to comply to my company standards and be successful. I think in many situations it's bad management to wait for people who may never deliver on their promises/

If I am ever going to be as successful as Elon then I have to be a better administrator of my time and I cannot hire people and rely on the fact that eventually they will probably learn to do what I am requesting. If they don't it's a huge waste of time

So let me tell you a few things I am doing here as we search for additional service techs.

The most important thing for me and the new employee is to realize that we want to tech you how to make more money than what you are now. We don't tech you how to fix equipment or machines but we teach you how to make $50.00 an hour for you or more. We teach you how to communicate and how to work smart instead of hard.

So this is how we do it.

We fix all the equipment that is found in a restaurant. That means cooking appliances and all the cold equipment that has compressors.

We take a person with a lot of repair and HVAC/R experience and we teach them about money, people and communication.

I hired a new person last week and we made a deal and a plan that by the end of one year he would be at $50.00 per hour

and we did this by setting standards that he would get a $5.00 raise ever 4 month which means at the end of the 12 months he would be at $50.00

So I think what I want to do. is to be able to do this for everyone.

If you are an excellent service tech when it comes to commercial HVAC/R then we can do the same thing for you.

And remember that each time you get a $5.00 an hour raise that is an additional $10,000.00 per year.

If you are at $50.00 per hour than I think that is about a salary of $104,000.00 annually.

My company currently does 5 million in sales a year and my goal is 100 million in sales in 5 years.
