We have a need for a service writer in our automotive repair shop in Round Rock. We are searching for candidates with shop management experience and who conduct themselves in a professional manner in whatever they do. Primary duties include greeting customers (both in-person and via telephone), documenting the concerns that a customer has with their vehicle, being the liaison between technicians and customers, and ensuring that repairs are completed in a timely fashion commensurate with customer expectation. Other duties include inventory and parts management, warranty claims processing, and accepting customer payments. Qualified candidates must possess a valid driver's license. The ability to "talk automotive tech" is a plus. Our shop does not and will not recommend unnecessary work. Rather, we focus on long term relationships with our customers, not on short term gains. For that reason, any person who intends to join our team must be of high moral character and possess a positive attitude towards others, even (and especially) when we are busy. The same applies to "problem" customers, though due to the aforementioned approach to customer service we tend to have relatively few of those.
