WaterTied is now hiring in Marble Falls!
Join our team as we open the first paddle board and kayak rental shop in town. In addition to rentals, the store will sell functional and fashion-forward apparel and accessories as well as our very own line of paddle board apparel designed by WaterTied's founder.
The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the business. But this role goes beyond the traditional retail setting and offers a dynamic and engaging work environment, getting you outdoors and engaging with the community. Comprehensive training will be provided, including instruction on equipment demonstrations and event coordination.
Responsibilities:
Opening/Closing Store
Conduct opening and closing procedures, including cash register management and security checks.
Sales and Merchandising
Maintain a visually appealing store while engaging customers in a friendly manner and promoting sales and rentals.
Inventory Management
Receive and check inventory deliveries; monitor inventory levels and assist in merchandising products to optimize sales.
Brand Ambassador
Act as a brand ambassador by embodying the company values and promoting a positive customer experience.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and the local community.
Social Media and Content
Contribute to social media content creation and posting.
Help build and maintain the brand's online presence.
Event Participation
Represent the brand at outside events to promote awareness and engagement.
Actively participate in the planning and execution of special events hosted by the brand.
Order Fulfillment and Online Shop
Process customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
Update inventory on the online shop to reflect current stock levels.
Rentals and Demonstrations
Drive company truck with a trailer to transport paddle boards and kayaks.
Assist customers with rental requests through phone, online, and walk-ins.
Demonstrate the proper use of equipment and provide guidance.
Waiver Management
Administer and manage waivers for rental customers.
Ensure compliance with safety and liability protocols.
Special Event Hosting
Assist in hosting special events, such as yoga classes, in collaboration with local partners.
Provide support in coordinating logistics for these events.
Requirements
Experience in retail operations, as well as a passion for the outdoors
Self-driven with the ability to work independently and to take initiative
Strong customer service and communication skills - must love people!
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical capability to lift and load boats onto trailers
Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a truck with a trailer
Basic computer skills for online shop management and social media updates
Highly organized with great time management skills
