I am looking to hire a weekend boat captain who can start immediately. Saturday’s are required and some Friday and Sunday’s will also be needed, especially around holiday weekends. A typical Saturday will be either 3-4 hours for one charter, or 6-7 hours if you have two charters. Pay should be around $100+ per charter hour.
Reliability, trustworthiness, great communication and providing good customer service is imperative to this position. While it is not a requirement to have experience as a boat captain, it is important to have experience on the water and a level of comfort driving a boat, docking, and setting anchor.
Location:
Boat is docked in a private slip on Lake Austin. Pickups are at 360 Bridge Boat Ramp.
Responsibilities on day of charter:
Purchase ice.
Arrive at the boat slip with plenty of time to get ready for the charter, usually 45 minutes the charter start time.
Light cleaning pre-charter.
Coordinate pickup at 360 Bridge with customer.
Be on-time to the pickup location, the 360 Bridge.
Requirements:
Must have completed or be willing to complete a Texas Parks & Wildlife boat safety course if you were born after September 1, 1993.
Must be friendly and accommodating with a natural customer service mentality.
Must be willing to work some Friday's, just about every Saturday, some Sunday's and most holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
Must have a clean criminal record.
Position requires general fitness, being able to lift up to 20 pounds, and being able to swim.
Please send me a message with your level of experience and why you'd be a good fit.
