Melendrez Trucking, LLC is a local and family owned Trucking Company in Southeast Austin. We are currently seeking a high energy, personable self-starter that can add value to our team. The ideal candidate would have an aptitude for working with numbers and an eye for accuracy. You will assist with the numerous duties of operating a small business. Above all, it is important for us to find the right fit that will mesh well with our small office, and to find someone who is looking for a long-term position. This position is best suited for someone who has the ability to problem solve issues on their own. The ideal person can work independently as well as with a team while staying organized. Our office is generally open Monday – Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Capability to work independently without guidance

· Handle multiple tasks at once

· Decipher tons of paperwork on a weekly basis

· Identify and follow through with setting up new customers

· Process and enter Sales Orders/ Invoices quickly and efficiently into QuickBooks

· Rapidly process weekly payroll for Subcontractors with accuracy

· Maintain up to date insurance requirements & W9s for Subcontractors and Vendors

· Communicate, interact, and follow through with Customers and Subcontractors

· Confidently answering for work performed

· Manage all files, applications, and emails

· Rapidly revise Invoices and address Customers/ Subcontractors concerns

· Identify and invoice all material and dump fees

· Confirm account balances with vendors

· Ability to confidently answer Customer and Subcontractors questions

· Assist Sales Manager on processing new bids and completing new business applications

· Help day to day office operations run smoothly, including filing, scanning, emailing

Qualifications include:

· Ability to figure out solutions to complex billing issues that arise

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

· Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills

· Keen attention to details and accuracy

· Ability to multitask and prioritize

· Familiarity with Adobe

· Demonstrating accountability for work performed

Preferred Job Experience:

· Experience with QuickBooks or other Accounting software is strongly desired

· Proficiency in Excel is a must

· Ability to make reasonable judgement calls is a must, common sense

Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants strongly desired.
