Our Shared Kitchen is seeking a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team! In this position, you will be responsible for large batch meal preparation and packaging, for kitchen and dry storage organization, in addition to general culinary responsibilities, food sanitation and station maintenance. Duties and responsibilities include:
-Oversee all aspects of food production in the kitchen
-Individually package meals for delivery
adjusting recipes based on donated product
-Ensure high-quality and consistent food preparation and presentation
-Prepare foods according to clearly defined timelines and schedules;
-Manage inventory and kitchen supplies and ingredients
-Supervise volunteers and any additional kitchen staff
-Monitor food costs and work within budgetary guidelines
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
-Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and proteins used to prepare dishes and communicating concerns to leadership
-Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
-High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
-Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
-Active Food Managers certificate required
Physical Requirements:
-Prolonged periods of being on your feet per shift.
-Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
-Must be eligible to work in the United States.
