Two Hills Studio is an iconic local manufacturer of decorative lighting and metalwork located in South Austin. We design and fabricate high-quality, custom products on-site that are shipped nationwide for commercial and residential projects. See more of what we do at TwoHillsStudio.com!

We have a new opening with our Fabrication group for a full-time employee with some experience. Fabrication is the first step in our production process, followed by Finishing and Completions, in which products are assembled, wired, and shipped.

We work primarily with copper, brass, and galvanized steel, as well as stainless steel and aluminum sheet metals. We also work quite a bit with steel, and various bar stocks and tubing. Our equipment includes assorted brakes, shears, and rollers, among other pieces.

Pay rate begins at $17.25/hr, paid bi-weekly.

Required qualifications include:

Basic sheet metal fabrication skills - cut, bend, crease, straighten, form - using hand-operated equipment, hand tools, and soldering irons.

Ability to cut, bend, and grind steel and aluminum.

Ability to solder and braze.

Ability to translate/transfer design templates to raw material.

Experience with manual brakes, stomp shears, rollers, circle cutters, die punches, etc.

Desired qualifications include:

Welding – we have both MIG and TIG welders

Experience making vent hoods.

You’ll need:

A completed job application, including references.

Basic skills in math, reading, and writing (English).

To be ok standing or sitting for long periods doing repetitive tasks.

To be able to do physical labor - lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)

Reliable transportation.

To be ok with occasional overtime as needed.

To be a US citizen or be authorized to work in the US.

Have a valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record. A copy of your Texas DPS driving record may be required.

To pass a background check.
