We produce and curate hand printed silk screen posters for artists, musicians, films and more
Nakatomi is a pop culture/art collective and screenprint studio based in Austin, Texas. Nakatomi started up inside a garage in 2009 by artist, and former curator of Mondo, Tim Doyle. Nakatomi is now a full-fledged printshop that has shipped thousands of orders all over the globe. All of our posters are printed by hand right here in Austin, and we take pride in our local family of artists and collaborators.

JOB DUTIES:
Operate silk screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints
Prepare screens, mix and match inks, and set up the presses for production runs.
Conduct pre-production tests to ensure accuracy of colors and alignment of designs.
Monitor production for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary
Clean, organize, and maintain screens, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Collaborate with the design and production teams to troubleshoot any issues and optimize the printing process.
Adhere to all health & safety guidelines and procedures. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
DETAILS:
PART TIME / SEASONAL
Wage: $16.00 hr
Hour: 16 - 24 hours weekly
Shifts: semi flexible, normal business hours are 9am - 5pm
(Wed, Thurs, Fri shifts are optimal)
Location: East Austin, Airport Blvd at Manor
Parking: Free onsite, included

EXPERIENCE REQ:
- Flat stock screen printing; both manual and automatic presses, TShirt screenprint experience also applicable
- Strong understanding of silk screen printing techniques
- Ability to match or mix colors accurately with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently with minimal supervision
