We have POOL SERVICE TECHS paid $100k+ yearly

Texas, Austin, 73301 Austin USA
Aplica ya

I know it's hard to believe, but it's true.

Here is our company strategy:

1) We target new clients who are unhappy with their current pool service company.

2) We promise to do a much better job than their current pool company, but the catch is that we are also pretty expensive compared to the average pool service company.

3) We hire top-notch employees to deliver that top-notch service.

4) We pay those employees very, very well to continue to deliver that level of service.

The reason most pool owners are unhappy with their service company is because the service company hires alcoholics, drug addicts, people who lack responsibility, initiative, ambition, etc. We decided to operate a pool service company for those clients who don't mind paying a lot more in exchange for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, polite, timely, and responsible service technician who visits their pool for service every week. And people who will pay a lot more for that level of service are all over Austin. And it's not surprising, you're in someone's backyard every week, around their family and pets, and taking care of a water feature that may have cost them more than $100k to install. Those people do not mind paying a lot for the right service technician.

Because we pay so well, the previous times we have advertised on Craigslist, our inbox blew up with interested applicants. It's honestly a little overwhelming, so this time we are going to just weed out all of the somewhat interested applicants from the start: your application needs to be a video of yourself that you upload to YouTube. It can be as long or as short as you like. You just need to convince us in the video that you are the right person for the job. If we think you have what it takes, we'll set up an interview.

So what is the job description? Cleaning pools! It's not rocket science. You need to learn basic water chemistry and how to operate the pool equipment, but it's easy material to learn. Experience is a plus, but for the right applicant, no experience required. We will train completely.

What will we be looking for in your application video? The same thing our customers will be looking for when they first meet you. Professionalism, positive attitude, clean-cut, well-spoken, etc. Male, female, or anything in between is fine with us. You just need to come across to the client as someone who is easy to approach and talk to, and you need to come across to us as someone who will bust their ass and do whatever is necessary for the right pay.

The right applicant will spend a month or two in training at the meager pay of $15/hour. The length of training is up to a joint decision between us and the employee, and is based on how fast they are able to learn the ropes. Once there is a mutual feeling that the employee can be sent out on their own, we pay the employee a percentage of how much we charge each customer that they service. Using your own pickup truck for service dramatically increases your pay, but the truck needs to be in good condition and not older than 10 years. We give raises as your experience increases and you become more independent. So our highest paid employees are using their own trucks and have been with us at least two years. And yes, they really are making over $100k per year. For a brand new hire who needs to use one of our trucks, you could expect something closer to $50k per year your first year, and perhaps $75k per year after you've been with us for a while. To get up to $100k yearly, you need to use your own truck and be ready to work in the sun 40-50 hours a week.

We allow employees to work as much or as little as they want. We have a tech currently servicing 80 pools who makes around $110k per year, and we have a tech currently servicing 20 pools who makes around $25k a year. But he only has to work 2 days a week, and the other 5 are off. Your workload is up to you.

Due to the amount we pay, we can be very selective with who we hire, and we fire about 5 new-hires for every 1 that we keep. So if you know yourself to be lazy, unreliable, have anger issues, no concept of customer service, etc., don't waste your time. We only hire the cream of the crop. If that's you, send your YouTube link to the relay email for this posting.

You need to be able to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors all day, and have a clean driving record.

Being handy with light plumbing or electrical work is a plus, but not required.

Have questions? Ask them in your video and we will respond to them in our invitation to interview if you appear to be the right candidate.

Good luck :)
