Good Guys Tree Service in Austin, TX is now hiring for Tree Health Technicians. We are looking for safe, responsible, and professional candidates to perform tree health applications and stump grinding on commercial and residential job sites throughout the Austin area. Training will be provided, but any prior experience is a plus! Candidates must have a valid Texas driver's license, a safe driving record, and follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. Excellent pay, depending on experience!
Requirements and Qualifications
Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
Experience Required: Driving large commercial vehicles and truck and trailer.
Practice safe driving habits, and follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
Able to work Mon-Fri, starting at 6:00 am until all jobs complete (usually no later than 7:00 pm).
Good math and measurement skills required for properly calculating and measuring treatment dosages.
Fluent English is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Demonstrate safe driving practices.
Accurately follow routes, maps, and directions.
Reliable and punctual, and able to adapt to changing schedules or routines.
Excellent time management skills.
Organized and able to follow a schedule.
Provide excellent customer service.
Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Physically able to walk, reach, stretch, bend, and lift during daily routine.
Duties and Responsibilities
Will be trained in all aspects of tree health applications and stump grinding required for the position. Any prior experience is a plus!
Responsible for learning and accurately completing various tree health application jobs, including soil treatments, tree injections, air spading, and more.
Responsible for operating stump grinding equipment safely and responsibly, and accurately completing stump grinding jobs
Knowledge and experience using power equipment (chain saws, power pruners, etc) is a plus.
Ensure that all daily jobs are completed per contract and work order
Communicate effectively with operations manager and billing office regarding daily schedule and job completion
Collect payments from customers, document amount, and offer receipts when necessary
Ensure that job sites are clean before moving on to next job
Maintain vehicle and equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed; keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
Assist with loading and unloading vehicle
